Kent Marcus.

A few weeks ago aspiring fashion photographer, Kent Marcus collaborated with my label - Marg & Jean to create some amazing fashion photographs. Above is a sample of the kind of genius work Kent can create and a sneak peek into the shoot!

Just quietly, I have to admit, I am in love. It is a fantastic shot!

Good work to everyone involved!

In my spare time (which lets be honest, I don't actually have a lot of these days) I sew for fun. My sister helped me out with my latest collection for Newcastle Fashion Week's second year and it was a huge success, it would not have come together without her help! I think she learnt a few things and managed to pull out some old skills from high school textiles classes!

Here are a few images from catwalk show number one which was on Wednesday night (15th September) from the wonderful Kent Marcus photography!

workings of a collection...

I haven't posted in a while, which is a shame I think. I have been so ridiculously busy with uni work that I have just not had a chance, I have so much to blog about but there is just honestly no time.
A few things...my collection is coming along ok, not as well as I would've hoped but I am learning to deal with my mistakes and try to learn from them and after all I am still learning, I am by no standard a professional designer and have a long way to go. So, amongst the angst and the tears, I am actually enjoying producing my collection.
I have made a lot of changes along the way and have made more changes in the past week or so but here is an image of my range drawings from a few weeks ago (some designs have changed or are still being designed) but you can get an idea of the direction my collection is going in, it is by no means a finished product yet!
