friday favourites.

Friday favourites. A few inspirations for this beautiful Friday. Strangely enough all these images are full of bright colours (strange coming from a lover of black, grey and white), for some reason I'm feeling colourful today, bright and happy!

I just registered to graduate from university which may or may not have something to do with my mood :)
Never the less, enjoy these fantastic Friday favourites, I hope they bring as much colour to your day as the have to mine!

L'oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival 2011

Last Tuesday I flew into Melbourne airport ready to be dazzled by L'oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival and I have to admit, I was not at all disappointed of my visit!
I was lucky enough to be volunteering at the event as well as attending some of the shows that were on during the week.

Day 3 (Wednesday) was the L'oreal Paris Beauty Workshop at the Sofitel (such a beautiful hotel) where the one and only Rae Morris talked the audience through the perfect way to achieve the 'perfect' made up face.

To be honest, while Rae was talking I felt kind of guilty, everything she was saying NOT TO DO with your make-up was everything I do with my make-up, clearly showing I have no idea when it comes to make-up.

The event was amazing. Three L'oreal make-up artists performed their magic on stage, applying make-up to their three effortlessly beautiful models (they honestly didn't need to be wearing make-up) while Rae and Marie Claire Beauty Editor Emily Taylor discussed the seasons new looks in make-up.

The highlight for a lot of people I think was the amazing gift bag that myself and 11 other volunteers prepared and handed out to the audience. A Marie Claire magazine and a L'oreal gift back filled with hair serum, hair spray, mascara and much more was well worth the $35 ticket!
I was lucky enough to take home one of the amazing gift bags (plus many others across the week)

In between unpacking countless amounts of magazines and gift bags, setting up the gift bag stations, greeting guests and collecting tickets the LMFF team and the wonderful people at the Sofitel treated us 12 volunteers to mini quiches and an overwhelming amount of coffee and tea. It was pure bliss.

After the Beauty Workshop day 3 was far from being over...next I attended the LMFF Sportsgirl Graduate Showcase at Docklands...but that's another story in itself...

oh, Bambi.

Bambi looks absolutely smokin' in these new pics from One Teaspoon's latest range 'The Wanderer' although I have to admit I think Bambi looks good everywhere in everything!

The jumper in the last picture is amazing, my next purchase I think.

Check out the rest of the pictures from 'The Wanderer' as well as a pretty rad fashion film on One Teaspoon's website - Oneteaspoon
enjoy, xxx.

shine by three.

I love discovering new blogs...I tend to end up spending so much time devouring each and every page of such fantastic fashion blogs! One blog I discovered today was 'SHINE BY THREE' - lovely blog, beautiful pics. Especially the one below, it was taken in one of 'One Teaspoons' Sydney stores.

One of these words seems to turn up quite a fair bit in my vocabulary.
Totally by accident of course.

Regardless of the wording, I love the pic.

I think I want Leopard print walls in my bedroom!

rebel model.

Photographer Jason Lee Parry has been behind the beautiful images for the latest cover of on No. Magazine. He teamed up with stunning model Taylor Warren to capture these images!

For me, this is the best kind of fashion image, it is so raw and striking, the photos have such an effortless charm about them and the mix of muted colours with black and white is a winner.

One of my favourite editorials to date!
Enjoy xxx.

better late than never...

So I know it has been a fairly long time (especially in the fashion world) since Sass & Bide launched their latest collection 'BOOGIE & THE HISTORY MAKER but I would like to share with you some of my favourites from the collection.

I have to admit that when I first looked at the images of this collection it was not love at first sight which it usually is for me when it comes to Sass & Bide (we all know I am quietly obsessed). Maybe it was because I am not one to go for bright colours and dramatic prints but after devouring the catwalk images over and over and viewing backstages videos and the like I became slightly fascinated.

I will be honest, this is not my favourite collection from the design duo and Senior design Sophie Nixon (an old teacher of mine) however the fascinating colours, textures, prints and silhouettes are truly amazing to say the least.
The accessories accent the clothes to perfection, the way the collection moves from natural hues of burnt orange and tan tones to exuberant pinks oranges mixed in with traditional greys and white!

Sass & Bide have once again created an eccentric collection that I cannot wait to own part of!
Hope you enjoy my fave pieces as much as I do!
