A week or so ago I received my catwalk photos in the mail from my graduate fashion parade. I was so excited to open them up and have a look only to be slightly disappointed. I had seen images from past UTS design shows and the catwalk images are always so striking, bright and really capture the model and the garment perfectly. I have to see looking at my images from UTS 2010 parade, that they look a little dark, over-exposed with a hell of a lot of shadow.
Some of the images turned out ok, the lighting was better however the majority of them were dark and somehow the colours of my fabrics turned out a lot different to what they actually are.
During the show my teacher, Eric told me to take as many backstage photos as possible because you never know what the catwalk ones will turn out like. I am so glad I listened to him, I am so much happier with my backstage shots from my trusty little digital camera.
In saying this, I do still appreciate these images, it is a delight to have the catwalk moments captured!
I have added a few of the photos for your viewing - ENJOY!
